GCDC doesn’t just host classes—we’re also a community space for celebrations, gatherings, workshops, performances, birthdays, and more! Our entire studio is a labor of love. Built with our own hands and maintained through community support, this truly is a collective and dynamic space.
With three dance floors and a cute little sitting area, this space has all you need to host a party, practice a routine, or teach your own lessons. You don’t have to dance to book our space—you can rehearse a play, practice your catwalk, or just gather with your friends & colleagues. We provide chairs and tables for your events, and we have several options for changing rooms, two bathrooms, and a water cooler. Check out more details on each room.
Our Rooms
Chandelier Room
Our main ballroom, with 1100 square feet of danceable space, a state-of-the-art sound system, and customizable lighting. With true sprung ash flooring this space can transform into anything from a practice space to a workshop venue to an epic dance party. One bathroom is off this space.
Upstairs Room
Great, self-contained room with its own bathroom and 800 square feet of dance space. A big wall of mirrors, large movable speakers, and maple veneer flooring with shock absorbing subflooring gives you everything you need. There are two side rooms for changing or whatever you need.
Front Room (Foyer)
Everything you need, right off the lounge space. This 700 square foot dance space has mirrors. With sprung ash floors, mirrors, and a quality sound system.
Lounge Area
Our beautiful lounge area with couches, a marble coffee table and front desk area adds some extra class to your event.
Pricing
Shared Floor Rentals
Sharing is caring, it’s also cheaper! This pricing option is perfect for private lessons or small practice sessions. Just use any available room, and share the space and speakers with other dancers. With our three dancefloors, there’s almost always space for you, any time of day—though evenings when classes are on tend to be the busiest. Easy and flexible payment options.
Anywhere in the Studio Rate
$20/hr
Check out our rules for renters, and text or email us to find out what times are available (or be added to our communal calendar to see for yourself). Limit to up to 3 people for this option
Please note: we cannot accommodate 30 or 45-minute rentals and may not be able to accommodate walk-ins
Please note: the studio is not open 24-7, but we can arrange for you to get access whenever you need it. Trusted instructors and community members are given codes to enter at any time.
Hourly Rentals
Want a whole room? You get a whole room! Get the space and flexibility to make your vision a reality— and let us know how we can help.
This is a private floor rental in one of our three ballrooms during peak hours for independent dance instructors. This can be for holding group classes or dance events, or even for practice and training. These reservations can be booked on a weekly or monthly basis and are subject to studio availability.
If you are interested, instead, in throwing an event in conjunction with GCDC don’t hesitate to reach out.
